1. Getting Started

The secure operations platform is for authorised PUC operational personnel. It displays meter-site information received through the secure operations system. Available sites and functions depend on each user’s authorised access.

Data can continue to arrive while the dashboard is open. A recent report or graph may change when newer readings are synchronised. Use the displayed information for review and confirm unusual conditions through the appropriate field procedure.

2. Signing In

1. Enter the authorised email address.
2. Enter the account password. Use Show or Hide to check the entry where necessary.
3. Select Remember this device only on a trusted personal or authorised device.
4. Select Sign in. The secure sign-in service verifies the authorised account.

Use Forgot Password when recovery is required. Five unsuccessful attempts may temporarily pause further attempts; the displayed waiting period protects the portal from repeated unauthorised attempts.

Online

Communicated within the current online window.

Recently seen

Communicated recently, but not within the online window.

Offline

No communication has been received within the expected period.

Unknown

The latest status cannot be determined from the available information.

Collector status refers to the collection device, not each individual meter site. An offline collector does not automatically mean that all sites have failed. Recent readings already on the secure server remain available for analysis. Refresh updates the displayed information.

Today’s operational completeness counts distinct active configured sites with matched readings received today in Indian/Mahe time. It does not claim to count every SMS received by the collector phone. Before the configured reporting deadline, outstanding sites are awaiting scheduled readings; after the deadline, they are shown as missing expected SMS.

4. Sites

The Sites page lists authorised meter installations with Site ID, site name, location, reading type, configured channels, phone number, active or inactive status, last configuration update and a View action.

Find and filter sites

• Search by site ID, site name, location or phone number.
• Filter by reading type or active/inactive status.
• Use Clear filters to restore the full authorised list.
• Use Refresh to update the displayed configuration.

Configured channels

Only configured channels appear. A pump site may have one, two or three pump channels; a flow site may have F1 only, F2 only, or both. Legacy C1/C2 readings are displayed canonically as F1/F2. View opens the site configuration and available operational details. A missing channel is not a zero reading. “Configuration review required” means no operational flow counter can be selected safely.

5. Analytics

1. Select an authorised site and open Site Telemetry.
2. Review site information, current channel totals and latest daily usage.
3. Choose 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or all available history.
4. Review Baseline Details for every configured channel, including the selected baseline type and accepted exact-day count.
5. Inspect graph points and tooltips. Use DOWNLOAD GRAPH PDF for a print-ready A4 landscape copy of the current graph.
6. Load older readings where available or return to Sites.

Pump totals are cumulative running hours; flow totals are cumulative cubic metres. A cumulative total is not one-day usage. Daily usage is normally the difference between two safe cumulative readings.

Graph presentation

• Solid line or filled marker: exact calculated usage.
• Diamond or hollow marker: estimated daily average across a gap.
• Dashed line: expected baseline where available.
• Broken line: reset, invalid interval or unavailable continuity.

Configured sites such as Site 37 can display Pump 3. Flow sites display only their configured flow channels. Definite duplicate synchronized representations are coalesced in the read-only operational view; genuine later or conflicting readings remain separate.

6. Events & Alerts

Events & Alerts records operational warnings, data-quality issues and meter conditions that may require review. Summary cards cover open events, critical items, warnings, missing-data issues, meter resets, invalid or partial readings and resolved events.

Filter by search text, site, severity, lifecycle, event type, date range or direction. Clear filters restores the default view.

Historical severity is the severity recorded at that time. Review current usage and baseline status under Analytics. View opens the full details; Open Site Analytics moves to the corresponding authorised site. Interpret notes with the event type and site history. An event indicates a need for investigation, not automatic proof of equipment failure.

Missing expected SMS is a site-level warning meaning no SMS was received from that configured site by the expected reporting deadline. Its details show the affected reading kind and its current Open, Acknowledged, Resolved or Superseded lifecycle.

7. Reports

Reports supports daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports plus multi-site comparison. Pump running hours covers H1, H2 and H3; water flow covers configured F1 and F2 channels.

Normal workflow

1. Select the report period and family.
2. Select the date or period.
3. Generate the preview.
4. Review coverage and status codes.
5. Download PDF or Excel where required.
6. Print only after reviewing the preview.

A current-day or incomplete-period report may change as more readings arrive. Review every preview before official distribution. Required report formats keep sites without data visible, and missing data is not shown as measured zero.

If synchronized readings or site configuration change after a preview is generated, the dashboard clears its download state and asks you to regenerate. Invalid or physically impossible operational totals are shown as a dash and are excluded from usage, charts, rankings and comparisons.

Daily reports

The Daily Pump Running Hours Report shows the safe daily difference for configured pumps. The Daily Water Flow Meter Report shows safe daily flow usage for configured flow channels.

Columns may include group/order, site, channel, previous date and cumulative total, current date and cumulative total, daily usage, expected value or baseline, deviation, code and note. Exact daily usage needs suitable previous and current readings. Gap values span more than one day; estimated daily values are identified. A reset boundary prevents unsafe subtraction. A flow demand or reference may be unavailable when not configured.

Weekly reports

Cover Monday through Sunday, keep exact runtime or flow separate from estimated contribution, and show coverage and missing days.

Monthly reports

Cover the selected calendar month and summarise exact usage, estimated contribution, coverage and data-quality conditions.

Yearly reports

Cover the selected calendar year with month-by-month values kept separate. A current year includes elapsed dates only.

Exact

Calculated from safe measured intervals.

Estimated

Daily average distributed across an identified multi-day gap.

Combined estimate

Exact usage plus clearly identified estimated contribution.

Coverage

Proportion of expected dates supported by exact valid data.

Missing days

Expected dates without a valid exact daily interval.

8. Raw Data

Raw Data is a read-only view of parsed cumulative meter values received for authorised sites. It does not display original SMS text, calculations, baselines, events or user information.

1. Select a date range of up to 366 calendar days.
2. Choose All, Pump hours or Flow meters.
3. Search for sites and select one or more authorised checkboxes.
4. Select Generate preview.
5. Switch between site previews and review the rows.
6. Select Download Excel to create one print-ready worksheet per selected site.

Every actual reading is retained in received-time order. A date with no synchronized reading is shown as NDR. In a received reading, INV identifies an invalid field, a dash identifies a missing field, and N/A identifies a channel that is not configured. Valid zero remains zero.

9. Site Comparisons

1. Select Pump or Flow.
2. Select Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly.
3. Select the date or period.
4. Choose comparison and display modes.
5. Search for authorised sites and select 2–8 checkboxes.
6. Generate Comparison.
7. Review the chart, summary, rankings and attention list.
8. Download the management PDF or comparison Excel if required.

Selected sites appear as removable chips. Select Visible chooses displayed authorised sites up to the eight-site limit. Clear Selection removes all choices. Search keeps existing selections, and only compatible Pump or Flow sites are listed.

Comparison modes

Pump modes are Combined pump runtime, Pump 1, Pump 2 and Pump 3. Flow modes are Combined flow usage, Flow 1 and Flow 2.

Period charts

• Daily: one operational value per selected site.
• Weekly: Monday-to-Sunday daily comparison.
• Monthly: daily comparison across the selected month.
• Yearly: monthly comparison from January to December.

10. Understanding Data

Cumulative reading

Total recorded by a meter up to a point in time.

Daily usage

Current cumulative reading minus the previous safe cumulative reading.

Exact value

Calculated from valid readings with a suitable interval.

Estimated value

Average allocation derived from a safe multi-day total.

Baseline

Expected usage calculated from previous accepted exact daily values.

Overall baseline

Uses eligible recent exact values.

Weekday baseline

Uses eligible Monday-to-Friday values.

Weekend baseline

Uses eligible Saturday-and-Sunday values.

How the baseline is formed

• Examines up to the previous 30 calendar days and excludes the current report date.
• Uses exact valid one-day usage.
• Excludes reset boundaries, invalid values and estimates.
• Excludes unusual statistical outliers where sufficient data exists.
• Keeps genuine zero usage from fresh valid consecutive readings.
• Calculates weekday and weekend expectations separately where sufficient data is available.

Baseline = Sum of accepted exact daily values ÷ Number of accepted days

11. Status and Alert Codes

Low-usage codes use a separate non-critical colour family. Estimated values do not independently create high-usage severity. Review every code with its note and site history.

• Use only an authorised account and never share login credentials.
• Use Remember this device only on an approved device.
• Sign out from shared computers.
• Do not leave operational reports visible in public areas.
• Store downloaded reports according to PUC procedures.
• Verify the site and reporting period before distribution.
• Report unexpected access or unusual behaviour to the authorised administrator.
• Do not copy operational data to unauthorised systems.

14. Signing Out

Use Sign out in the top-right corner. Signing out clears the protected operational dashboard from the current session. Always sign out from a shared or public device; closing the browser should not replace signing out.
